ANIO is happy to announce this year’s awardee to be Dr Ankita Ashoka
Dr. Ankita Ashoka is originally from Bangalore, India. She completed her residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she also served as chief resident before pursuing a fellowship in Nephrology at the University of North Carolina. It’s been a rewarding journey for her. She values the mentors the most at the UNC fellowship. She says ” If I weren’t a nephrologist, I probably would have pursued my dream of becoming a professional badminton player. When I’m not looking for acanthocytes (I have a particular interest in glomerular diseases!), I enjoy running, hiking, and playing pickleball “
